Rescheduled wedding... do i get a new dress?

Help!

I was supposed to get married March 28th,2020 and got a beautiful long sleeve dress. I had to reschedule to September 11th 2020. it is still pretty hot in September in NewJersey and I don't know if I should try to exchange my dress. I don't wanna be hot and uncomfortable :/

Can you cut the sleeves off? Or alter the sleeve length

Could the dress be altered to have remove the sleeves or make them shorter? Otherwise, September in New Jersey tends to still be rather warm and long sleeves would be awful.

I would see what changes can be made to the dress you have before buying a different dress.

It depends on how sheer the sleeves are. You could make them 3/4 length.

You could sell it if you want, but You could always remove the sleeves too.

My mom got married in September (1984, but seasons are still similar). Her dress had long sleeves, but the week of the wedding ended up being surprisingly warm, so her mother removed the sleeves and replaced them with lace ones. Would something like that work for your dress?

I agree with all of the other responses. See if you can have any extra layers of skirt removed, too?
