Relaxed wedding reception look?

Krissy, on July 21, 2022 at 5:29 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 4
So I'm getting married in about 5 weeks and I've been playing off and on for weeks with the idea of doing a second outfit for my reception. The whole wedding isn't very formal, but I do have a dress with a very full skirt. I'm not used to wearing dresses and there are some issues with the fit of my dress(and some body confidence issues) I want to have a second outfit ready just in case I decide I want to change once all the formal events are done and the party really gets started. I'm torn between getting a white summer dress or a pair of fun sequence pants with a "wifey" written in cursive on a t-shirt. I was curious what other people are doing and if a t-shirt is to informal even with the fun pants? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I say its your event wear what you feel comfortable in. If you change into something casual just make sure to get all the more formal photos you want (if you want any) done before changing. Go shopping and see what fun stuff you can find. Enjoy@

Not informal at all! Definitely say do what you want and be comfortable. I was considering a jumpsuit, but I’m back & forth with it because I paid so much for my dress I kinda want to wear it all night. I’d say if you’re more comfortable with the pants and t shirt definitely go for it!

I always thought I'd want to just get the one *perfect* dress and wear it for all the festivities, but I am considering a 2nd garment for the reception that will be easier to dance in. In that case I am thinking of a rhinestoned jumpsuit, so it's still glam but a little more comfortable/easy to wear.

I say go with whatever will make you feel comfortable and fabulous! And yes, make sure you get all the photos you want in your dress first. Also think about your "grand exit" if you are doing one - will you want to look back on those photos and be wearing your dress or your comfy outfit?
