Rehearsal Dinner Invitation- Can it be send with wedding invite?

None of the weddings I've been in have had a formal rehearsal dinner invitation, it's been word of mouth or via Facebook, so I have no actual reference. So, I'm asking what thoughts are on adding a RD invite to the actual invitations for those who are invited? Or if you do a separate invite, how far apart do you send them?

    I see no reason they can't be mailed together. You would need a separate rsvp card or an alternative method for the RD.

    Sure, mailing them together would be totally fine, just make sure both the invitation and the rehearsal dinner invitation have clear instructions for how to RSVP if they are to be done through different methods.

    We mailed our wedding invites March 11th, and the rehearsal invites went out last week. However, the people invited to our rehearsal are all coming - we only need the RSVP for their food choice.

    They can be, just make sure that you are 100% VERY CAREFUL with the envelopes. I saw on another forum that someone accidentally invited someone to the RD they didn't mean to because of this.

    We mailed ours separately. My FH and I sent the invites and his mom sent the rehearsal dinner invites. They were sent out about three weeks apart.

    However, I have received rehearsal dinner invites with the wedding invite before.

    I am thinking when you do your invites that you separate out the ones attending the RD first and get those completed so there is not an accidental invitation to your RD.

    I've only ever gotten a RD invite in with the wedding invite, so I would definitely say yes!
