Rehearsal dinner ideas ?!

Erica, on November 7, 2019 at 3:20 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13
Hello all!

So I didn’t plan this out right and forgot about saving a budget for rehearsal dinner ☹️ We paid for the wedding ourselves but feel the need to give our wedding party a dinner after the rehearsal. What do you think would be considered a nice dinner but affordable for a group of 20?

Thank you in advance!!!

My FH are in the same boat. We've considered a cute pizza place near our venue and have also talked about renting an airbnb and cooking food for everyone there! We'll also have a lot of out of town guests so I feel like I should feed them too but $$$$$!

We are having pizzas delivered to the hotel where everyone is staying. They have a breakfast area where they have said we can eat.

I'm with PPs, we're going to a pizza place about 5 minutes away from our venue.

We’re doing Publix catering at our venue which we have the whole weekend, and a s’mores bar.

I've looked into brunch places honestly. Breakfast for dinner and mimosas/ bloody mary's. I was quoted $14pp. There's over 30 of us.

My wedding is at a lodge and my sister booked a suite. We are using her suite and doing pizza or burritos- I haven’t decided which yet. We could have used my suite but inviting everyone to hers means all the wedding decor and my dress will be safe from salsa or marinara mishaps. My sister had a destination wedding and we did something similar. It was low key and a fun chance to see everyone before the festivities.

We are going to a nicer restaurant across the street from the venue. We will have pizza, salad, wings and maybe pasta. Without the pasta it comes to 14 per person. There is about 30-35 of us.

We did pizza, pasta, salad, and bread sticks from our local bar. Everyone loved it. Simple and affordable.

I totally didn't plan for it either until last minute aha. It's definitely another large expense ! If youre looking to save money you could do as PpS mentioned, pizza/bbq or something like just drinks after is ok too.

Totally agree with the pizza or bar suggestion! We actually had ours at the same venue that our reception was held and it was around $10/person. Maybe your venue could give you a deal plus it would be very convenient!

You can do something inexpensive, like pizza. It doesn't have to be fancy, just a gesture of thanks.

I agree with Cristy above - doesn't have to be fancy. Honestly, you're spending enough on the wedding and honeymoon, I am sure. This should just be a time for you all to relax and have fun. Pizza is fine. Taco Bar! Or a bbq in the backyard.

I am not having a wedding party (I am ..ahem... an older bride and it's a smaller wedding) but there's me and FH and our six kids and 4 grandkids, who are all staying in the B&B we rented out for the weekend (we are getting married at the B&B).... the B&B will take care of the meals for us, which will just be simple sandwiches and salads.
