What do you not like about your dress anymore? Did you see another dress you liked better?

I can relate! I went shopping with mom and sister. I said yes to a dress. For weeks afterwards, something just wasn’t sitting right. And I knew deep down that I didn’t LOVE it or feel like myself... so I went shopping alone and said yes to a new dress. No regrets!

I personally wouldn’t sell it yet until you find a dress you love. Maybe go try on more dresses and see if you can get that dream dress feeling? Have you already picked up your dress and have you recently tried it on again to see if maybe once you put it on you’ll love it?

Have you tried it on again? I was sure I had dress regret until I tried mine on again (in right size-sort of). Then I was in love again. The problem is they’re all beautiful and I could have picked 20 different ones. Don’t sell it yet.

Get a new dress and sell the old one. Happened for my best friend’s wedding and she never regretted getting the second dress that she loved

I definitely think you can add embellishments to the dress you purchased to make it more similar to the dream dress! I would find a costume or pageant dress designer and see what they say.

If you can afford to buy another dress do it! I bought a second dress and have no regrets. The last thing I wanted was to look back on the day and feel disappointment or regret.

So a couple of things...I wanted a big ballgown similar to the ones you linked. Off the shoulder neckline, huge hoop skirt, everything. I will say you don't look happy in the one you bought Smiley sad what made you decide to buy it?

    1. The photos of your dream dress are from sketchy websites (like the ones I Pinned before I went shopping). What you see in the pictures and what you actually get in the mail are often not even close, and there is either no return or it's a really arduous process. So I would stay away from those as the dresses in those photos likely don't exist, at least not from those sellers.

    2. Have you tried on any big ballgowns? I realized that the poof I wanted was too much. I didn't like what it did for my body. I ended up with an "a-line ballgown" where there is some poof, but it's less. I really wanted the ballgown I had in mind to work but it just didn't.

    3. Personally, I would not buy another dress, but that is a decision you have to make for you. You won't make back $2,000 on the dress; you might make $1,000 or $1,200 if you are even able to sell it (lots of dresses are on those websites for quite a while). You should consider the $2,000 to be a sunk cost and if you are able to sell it, that's a bonus. Are you able to/comfortable spending another $1500-$2000 or more on another dress? That is something only you can answer.

Since i dont plan on having a huge extravegant ceremony or party i was hoping to splurge on the dress. 1 of only a few things that are real important to me.. I dont plan on selling the dress i bought here in metro detroit there are lots of girl less fortune that deserve it and cant afford it. No the dresses i pinned are just an idea not trying to buy from those fake sites.

Do you think if you accessorized it it would change the way you view it?

See i think that's totally possible! you can always buy little gems and beads and glue or sew them onto your gown!

I wouldn’t trust myself to glue things to a wedding dress 😂
