Regret hiring photographer

Please help,

I got engaged July of this year, so excited to be getting married and jumped right in to wedding planning. Where I work we had a client that goes photography and is really popular in the area. When the photographer found out I was I had gotten engaged they started to ask me about who I was using for my photos. I would try to change the subject has I didn’t want to offend them since their style wasn’t something I wanted. Which I won’t this photographer more than once. But it became a constant thing where they would come to my store everyday when I was working and show me their photos from past weddings and other event. Then they started to message me on social media daily about if I found someone yet and sending more example pictures. It wasn’t until September that I had finally had enough of being shown these pictures and told myself that I would like the my pictures even though I hated the other ones they have done.
Being terrified I’m going to hate my wedding pictures I started to look for different photographers in the area. I found one that is the style I wanted and available for when I’m getting married. I want to book them so bad but I’m not sure what to say to the first photographer who comes into my work often.
If someone could please help me figure out what to tell them, at this point I’m not concerned about losing the money I have already paid I just don’t want to come off rude and have awkward encounters every day at work.

You need to be direct with them. Just say "Thank you for showing me this, but we're looking for something different for our photos." If they continue mentioning it, tell your boss (or someone else with authority). A client should not be harassing you and trying to promote their side business at your workplace.

You could say something along the lines of, "We really enjoy the photos that you take, but we decided to go with a different photographer for our wedding whose style fits more with what we're looking for. Thank you for your time!"
