I purchased a wedding dress at David's Bridal, and am having serious second thoughts about it. I tried on only one other dress... I felt beautiful in the dress at the time, but looking back at pictures now I see that it is not nearly as flattering as the sales person made me feel it was... That little bit of doubt has been made worse by a situation I am now dealing with... I apparently have to come pick up the dress by tomorrow. The VERY rude lady I spoke to this morning said she "didn't have space for it" and that if I didn't pick it up they would have to pack it in a box and stick it in their warehouse, and they might not be able to find it when it came time for my alterations appointment. WHAT??? So now I have doubts about this dress and I am pissed and don't want to give them any more of my business. From what I can see from other reviews they won't refund my purchase of the dress (I have not asked them for that yet). Does anyone have any recommendations?

I was told the very same thing and was put under a lot of pressure to buy everything right then and there! I also paid for the dress in full because it was a “special order” since my size wasn’t available in store... I picked up but never got a chance to even look at it or try on yet and am really uneasy because that was last week or 2 I picked up.

To make it worse, I just went to get the layaway items I paid in full for and got home to discover the bra was NOT what I paid for! They gave me a bra worth $50 when I paid for an $80 one, totally different item # and I drove 3 hours just to get this wrong item! Now I hope they don’t give me hassle over it because I never even opened the bag or touched the bra- it’s labeled on the bag a different price and number than on my receipt. I’m worried even my dress is wrong, which is being stored at my fiancé’s home just because he has house insurance. It won’t be for about another week or two before I can get my mom to help me try dress on.

I’m pretty upset about DB so far, despite the fact that I felt like it was a load off my shoulders at first to find the “right dress” for me.

I was told that I had to actually pay off everything on layaway before they’ll remove a veil I really didn’t want; then they called me back and said I would be able to remove that from my layaway. I’m glad it was taken off because they just try to push sales and I really hate that they say all sales are final even if you never open the package or try it on after you buy it (which is very strategic of them since they make you buy it all upfront)
