My sister wore a burgundy wedding dress 15+ years ago and it was stunning!


Can you share inspiration pics? A Viking theme seems amazing! I wore white but my hubby & I had a surprise pirate reception and changed outfits during cocktail hour. So us!!! Guests loved it.

I attended a Viking themed wedding, and it is hands-down my favorite wedding I’ve ever attended! The couple rented out a camp ground area down in the bayous in Louisiana and it was absolutely gorgeous. Very “middle of the wilderness“ feel. There was a dock, which the couple and their Officiant stood on over the water during the ceremony. Everybody dressed to theme, including guests. The dinner was modern food, but did include huge turkey legs, which made for some pretty great pictures LOL They also served mead, and the guest favors were horns to drink out of. And after dinner, they had axe throwing for guests. About half the guests camped out overnight, along with a couple, and the party continued late into the night. It was a blast! First I have to say, that burgundy dress is gorgeous! And I think you should definitely have a braided Lagertha type hairstyle. I LOVE the idea of a viking wedding! I personally would have a medieval theme if it were completely up to me, but my dear FH says no way! It's so not him tho and we've combined our 2 personalities into a Punk Romance theme and I'll be in this black dress. Your wedding is going to be amazing....Congratulations and have Fun!! 🖤

I don’t really have much to say by way of advice, I just wanted to let you know that your wedding sounds freaking AWESOME and you are probably fun people!!!!

I considered a red ball gown for our vow renewal but my friend photographer talked me out of it. Think about looking at these photos and videos 20-30 years from now - if that’s how u want to remember ur wedding - cool amazing idea - but if u want a more timeless memory - white or ivory it is - well for me anyway
