For the cocktail hour you can stick to finger food. Crackers, cheese, fruit, sliders, wings, Mac and cheese bar, wine, beer, cupcakes, cookies etc.

I’d skip games or entertainment. Guests will enjoy socializing with you and their new families. A charcuterie platter or finger sandwiches might be nice, plus a wedding cake (or other dessert of choice).

Make sure you don't have this over a meal time.

A nice casual family game night sounds like it would be fun! A round of taboo over cocktails, bride's fam versus groom's fam... it would be full of fun, a great way to wind down, and full of laughter...and don't forget how beautifully candid moments can be captured with tons of pics from each other's phones.
