Reception ideas!

What type of ideas? Like where to have it or what type of food to have? Without knowing for sure what you need help with it's hard to give any advice.

The most inexpensive option is a cake and punch reception at a non-meal time.

What exactly do you need ideas for? The venue? Food? Decoration?

A good place to start would be to figure out what kind of reception you want. Do you want dancing or games or just a nice cocktail hour? By doing a morning wedding you can easily do a short cake and punch reception where no one expects a full meal or alcohol. If dancing isn't a big deal to you then you can save costs by ditching the dj and just setting up background music yourself. Are you going to have a large or small guest list?

I think once you figure out where it will be, you can start planning from there. Personally, I'm not planning on feeding everyone an entire meal. You can stick with just cake/cupcakes and punch or you can even add things like fruit/veggie trays, dips and cheese plates. You can find nice decorations at party stores for cheaper than a professional company would charge.
