I would first start with what colors you want to use

Agreed. You would be surprised what themes you could find. Also, look for budget friendly for food ideas if you are trying to save money. I think it depends on your crowd. I know if we were having a larger wedding I would do it game based as my fiance would not be one to dance or have attention on him so that would be low key and chill.

I am doing a big lantern on got on sale, clear rocks with gold small stones plus pink Hearst. I bought a pillar candle for $2 at ikea. I’m spreading rose petals on table. The venue give free mirror and votives, you can get vases at dollar store, flowers there or michaels. It’s just a matter of cost, colors, style, etc. Pinterest is great but I believe you don’t need a theme-just whatever appeals to you.

I feel there is a simple trend going around which is florals and twinkly lights that just give it that fairy tale touch with pastel sheer linens and green leaves with some wood or boho chic vibe. It all depends on your theme and you can never go wrong with lights(candles/LED/Battery Operated) and florals. It definitely brings a different atmosphere to the reception. Remember you want your reception space to be different from your ceremony space so that as newly weds and your guest can embrace the night in celebration and harmony. Youtube, Pinterest, The knot, and Etsy have been my go to from wanting a fairy tale reception to a simple lit up night. Best of luck and congratulationsSmiley smile
