Reception Ideas for courthouse ceremony

Hi everyone!! My fiancé and I are getting married at the courthouse in a few months. We are doing this for personal and legal reasons. I am head over heels to be getting married however I hate attention. This sudden obsession over my engagement and wedding is stressing me out. I am the oldest child, first daughter/granddaughter and everyone is so excited and happy for us (which i am so thankful for) however I feel like I am disappointing everyone with just a small courthouse ceremony. We were thinking of renewing our vows in a few years and planning a reception for that but does anyone have any ideas or suggestions for after the courthouse? I know it is my day and should be what we want but I know everyone is just excited to be doing this.

Same! I'd head to a restaurant and have a nice dinner together. That could be a great way to thank your guests while making the evening all about visiting with each other, rather than you feeling like you need to keep everyone entertained. Enjoy your wedding!
