Reception food

Chrissy, on June 11, 2019 at 7:51 AM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 10
I'm looking into trying something different for food for my reception. I just recently attended my fiance's nieces wedding and she only had 2 options prime rib and fish. I noticed alot of food go to waste. So I'm trying to change it up. I'm thinking of Italian food. Do you think this a great way to go?

The last wedding I went to had a "pizza bar", as well as salad and pastas. I thought it went over really well, though I'm pretty sure they had lots of leftovers too. We actually looked at an Italian restaurant as a first-choice catering option, but they were already booked that day, so we ended up booking them for the rehearsal dinner.

I think this is a FANTASTIC idea! Who doesn't love pizza, pasta or BOTH?

I think no matter what you will
have left over and someone that does. It like the food. So just do what you wNt while keeping guest dietary needs in mind.

I’m always down for some Italian food! Have you considered having a pizza truck? They make everything to order and there is very little waste. You could make your own salad and could also add some pasta for those who don’t eat pizza (who doesn’t love pizza?).

I feel like you can’t go wrong with Italian food, but make sure to double check for any allergies, especially gluten.

Yup, this. Maybe a chicken dish too (no breading or pasta with gluten).

That sounds delicious! Just make sure you’re able to accommodate any allergies/diet restrictions. Gluten free pasta, plain non-breaded chicken, and sauce without meat mixed in for example. But there are lots of options to be able to do that! Enjoy!

I like Mexican or Italian food at weddings, I think it's fun & different. I'd prefer prime rib but all are great as long as the food is good.
