Reception end time...

Our end time is 11:00 pm; the DJ will play the last song at 10:40 and guest can start to leave after that.

Ours will end at 6p

So, a lot of people on here keep mentioning after parties? Are those normal? Where do you have them? Who is invited? Do you pay for all the drinks etc. At the after party, too?

Ours ends at 4pm (it's a Sunday) then we're headed out to a brewery for an after party.

@Tamara, where I am they're normal. The after party is usually just a term for everyone going to the hotel bar after the reception ends. Anyone from the wedding can stop by before going to their rooms/going home. And no, each person that attends is aware they cover their own drinks. Official hosting by the married couple ends when the reception ends.

10pm. We have to be out the venue by 11.

Midnight. That was one of the biggest factors in choosing our venue; most places around here make you shut down at 10 due to noise ordinances.

Ours ends at 1 AM, and everybody and everything needs to be out by 2. We looked at a couple of venues that required an 11 or midnight end time, and we couldn't imagine cutting things off that early.

Ours is 11 - clean up has to start by then and bar service ends a half hour before so I imagine people will start filing out around 10:30-10:45.

10:30pm! We have to be out of our venue by midnight - cleaned up and everything.

Ours will be ending at 10PM. After 10 we would have to get a permit from the county for noise stuff, and then an extra fee per hour past our already 5 hour reception block. Not worth it in my opinion. I'd rather go back to the room with my new hubby and enjoy the rest of the night with him.
