Recent Weddings happening now and how many people allowed

Dessye, on July 5, 2020 at 10:27 AM Posted in Community Conversations 2 34
Hi I was just wondering if anyone had a wedding recently during the last month or so and/ or have been to a wedding? How many people? And what state are you in? My wedding is in 96 days and I’m starting to think I’m gonna have to change it😔

This will be specific to your area. Hope it all works out. I’m a former 10/10/20 bride. But since postponing, I hadn’t kept up with that countdown. I can’t believe it’s less than 100 days away... wow! Congrats and best wishes.

We haven’t gotten married yet, but our venue (in Breckenridge, CO) has a wedding next weekend and they are capped at 50% capacity - 50 people (which is supposed to include all staff in the building too). It depends on how big the venue is and what area you’re in. Good luck!

Mine Is In October In Virginia With 60 Guests. As Of Right Now We Have No Intention On Postponing Or Canceling, And We Have Yet To Make Any Changes. It Just Depends On What State Youre In.

I’m interested in hearing this as well but probably won’t hear too many since wedding receptions have just been recently permitted by many states.

Here in Ohio, we are permitted up to 300 and social distancing guidelines are enforced. My venue holds 250 but 130 with distancing. I’m thinking of cutting the guest list from 150 to 80-100, seat households/social circles together with tables distanced, provide masks and sanitizer. Staff will be masked and enforcing distancing.
My city mandated masks Friday though no penalty. My venue is a suburb town out of Columbus so it’s not enforced but I see that possibly changing. I may just use my plan B if I have to wear a mask down the aisle. I don’t want photos of me walking down the aisle with a mask lol.

I’m 40 days away and in Indiana. We have a 250 guest limit but will only have around 150 people. We may have to have strict guidelines to abide by if our state continues to see numbers rise.

We are in PA at 50% capacity. Our already small venue that we chose can only accommodate 24 people including us so that really limits our guest count.

Our venue seats 250, but we are only having ~100 people. So we will be at less than 50% capacity and will be able to spread out easily. Wedding is 42 days away!

Hi, my wedding is in 82 days. We already rescheduled from May and as of now keeping our date in September. I am in Pa and right now our status allows gatherings of up to 250 people. My venue had a wedding. On Thursday with about 100 people all spread out and my max list is 150 and might need to cut that down if as we get closer things change. Masks are required while not eating or drinking and since our reception is outside we can opt to not wear them. I am anxious to see how that goes as the weeks progress.

I’m in NJ. My venue just started having weddings 100 percent outdoors. They had one for 80 and one for 150 next week. All tables 6 ft apart. Hand sanitizer stations, and masks for going inside for the bathroom. We are keeping our 10/10 wedding for around 100.

Depends on your state. I'm in GA and our wedding is 7.10.2020, (5 more days!) and our guest count is 29 incl bride and groom, which was our original count. People we guessed wouldn't come are still coming. Out of state guests are driving instead of flying. Mostly because they want to get out of town. Thank goodness I had already planned a small wedding, my venue didn't have to make changes. Ceremony and cocktails outside in the garden and due to small number we can still sit at the long table family style for the reception. Guests aren't required to wear a mask, but our guests likely will anyway and they have to sign a waiver. I suggest you keep up with your state's rules on gatherings, each state is different.

Hi good for you! We’re in Florida and we are a HOT STATE! I haven’t heard anything regarding the courts even being open to get marriage licenses. I’m hoping they will. At this junction we’re thinking about just getting married on our scheduled date at the courthouse and do the big deal neat year! But not excited about that .
As for the mask, if everyone is wearing a mask would they not let you walk down mask off?

As of right now I won’t have to because no requirement. Not sure what would happen if the mayor of their city signed an order for it!

I’m getting married in Colorado at the end of September (postponed from June). Our venue is allowing 175 people. We are inviting 150 and plan on inviting everyone! Postponing was such a tough decision. Best of luck!!
