Really long engagements!!?!

February 2008 to September 2010

It'll be a 19 month engagement here. Exactly. Got engaged on March 9, 2010, getting married October 9, 2010.

Feb 08 to Oct 2010 it will be 2 years and 8 mos!

We got engaged 3.1.09 and are getting married 9.10.11

but i didn't start planning until april of this year, so it doesn't feel like that long...

I can't really say anything. I was engaged to my husband a matter of 1.5 months before we got married. If it wasn't for the fact we are living together, we'd still be engaged right now. We got engaged on Oct. 17, 2009 and married at the courthouse on Dec. 3rd, 2009. I think I win the award for shortest engagement lol.

I think long engagements are awesome, and I would never knock anyone for doing it. To me, you two staying together for so long shows more than anything that you two really were meant for one another, and I give all of you who were or are involved in long engagements some serious kudos. I never thought in my wildest dreams I'd be married so soon after getting engaged.

Oct 08 to Oct 10.....2 yrs and 6 days

Well we started talking about getting married in like Nov. 2008. We bought a ring on Valentine's Day 2009, but did not announce it until our 2 year anniversay in April 2009. So officially by the time we are married we will have been engaged for a year and a half. It has flown by though! I was so overwhelmed and didn't know where to start as far as the planning that I didn't do anything for like 6 months or so. I knew I wanted to get married this year though and started actually planning February of this year. Not too bad. :-)

I am looking at an 18 month engagement Sep 2009 to March 2011. Me and FH have been together for 6 years so we just wanted to make sure the timing was right for us to plan the kind of wedding we wanted. Plus a long engagement makes me anticipate the wedding even more.

I win we got engaged December of 1997 and started to plan a wedding for 2000 and then it did not happen until last month!!

21 months ..seems I am always wishin it would pass faster but, I feel like I will sing a different tune around 07/2011 *awe sh!t I have so much to do*

First engagement - February 2006 to October 2009, we split. :-/ Medical problems caused a lot of tension and we had to take a break. Got re-engaged in March and are getting married next month, so 6 months this time around and its a done deal, we're for sure getting hitched this time!

Engaged 2/14/2010 and our wedding is 9/10/11 I know that isn't a super long engagement but I been with him along time 12 years when we are finally husband and wife.

About 2 years and 3 months...

We'll be engaged for 13 months when we finally get married. We only did it because that's how long it would take us to pay for the wedding and we wants to get married by around anniversary.

Engaged Feb 2010. Wedding date is Sept 2012. Over 2 years here as well. 2 years and 7 months. It seems hard for us as well. Especially right now because some people are excited (my family) and want to talk about the wedding but his family still is not so excited. They don't want to even think about the wedding. I just want to start planning but his mom is like "really why right now, you still have two years". Its annoying. But she also seems to think her baby boy will never be moving out. But trust me I will not be living his his mama's house! God love her though!

We got engaged on 6/25/10 and wont be geting married until 2012 ! And thats a BIG maybe because we both are in school !!!

We got engaged 9/24/2008 and are getting married 10/9/2010 so a little over two years. It wasnt too bad...if you wait to start planning little details until about a year then things go pretty fast. I didnt think it would ever get her and all of a sudden its only a month and 1/2 away!
