Really Bummed - Wedding Dress "Visit"

I was so upset. I'm so worried I won't lose enough weight to flatten my tummy in time and even though the sales girl said it fit me almost perfect and the seamstress could address the issues with the boob part, I'm not sure if she can work enough magic for me to love it like I thought I did, and feel confident walking down the aisle. Has anyone had major regrets after seeing their gown upon arrival? Did your seamstress put your concerns to rest? Anyone do a backup dress?

I felt frumpy when I received my dress, pre-alterations.

But after alterations, I felt like a million bucks. She took in an inch or two, shortened my straps and added cups and I felt SO MUCH BETTER.

So I wouldn't freak out just quite yet, nor would I buy a back up dress.

It looks like it just needs altered to fit you better - You should try not to worry, the seamstress will make it look even more amazing than the sample dress did on you. My dress had the boob cones going on too, and all that needed done was some cup padding adding to fill it out because my boobs were not enough for the fabric. Yours looks like with a shorter hem, and some adjustments to the fit around the hips, it will be just perfect.

The dress looks amazing on your already. I am sure after you have alterations done it will be perfect!

Thank you for your replies. I think in addition to the hem and the mid part and boobs, maybe having some of the bulk taken out from the bottom since I just realized comparing the first time to this time, the toole below seems so much fuller. Maybe tightening the sleeves too and shortening them so they're true 3/4th sleeves instead of that awkward length.

Besides the Madonna boobs - you look killer in that dress! and thats an easy fix! Shapewear is your friend, not because of any fat, but just to make things smoother. (idc who you are, the right shape wear can always help). Other than some nicks and tucks, it looks great!

As they say on SYTTD jack it up. Put a belt with it and maybe a veil and some jewlery with it. A simple necklace and bracelet. The dress is lovely. Add your final touches to it and turn those sad tears into happy ones. You look stunning
