Real diy Wedding Floral Shelf Life

Annalise, on September 26, 2024 at 3:20 PM Posted in Planning 0 3

Hi Everyone!! I am making a lot of my own florals for my wedding. I will be doing floral foam blocks (oasis), which I can keep in water until the day of and in a cool place. For a Saturday wedding can I assemble them on Wednesday? I am doing more greenery and hearty white florals, with an organic relaxed feel (they can look a tad wilted). I have to travel to my wedding site and Wednesday is most reasonable day. Thanks for all the help!!!!

Maybe do them within 48 hours of the wedding? Like if you're getting married on Saturday, try to get them shipped to the area on Wednesday, then put them in water and trim the stems. Then you have the next 2 days (Thursday and Friday) to put things together and pop them in the refrigerator. Bonus points if you can get them to the venue Friday night and put it in their fridge! Then on Saturday, maybe ask someone to put the arrangements where you want them (you could hire a day of coordinator or ask your venue's event coordinator if they have one)

I personally wouldn't do them more than 48 hours before the wedding!

but you could always do a sample one and see how long it lasts

That's a good idea! Then you can also practice and see how long it takes to make one (which would help you out a lot)
