Re-purchasing items with dates after postponing wedding

Virginia, on March 24, 2020 at 7:32 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 13
So I had to postpone my wedding from 04/09 to 08/27. I really do NOT want to to reorder my items that are personalized with the original date. We plan to still marry 04/09 in a private ceremony. What is everyone else doing? Are u repurchasing all your personalized items? We have a cake topper, hangers, ring box, welcome sign, and wine ceremony box all labeled “04/09/20”.

Honestly, just use them. We have some personalized date items and will be using them. The only thing I’m changing is our wooden guest book so that’ll say our new date. Otherwise guests are getting the koozies that have 4/18 on them.

If I have to reschedule I’m not changing anything I have way to many things with that date on it from decor to gifts to favors I plan to get married no matter what on my original date so I think it’s fine to still use them since that’s the actual date you were married.

I agree with others that I would just use them. People won’t care and everyone will know why.

We're still going to use our stuff and everyone will just have to laugh about it. Everyone will understand.

I'm not in your shoes, so maybe my feelings would change if I was, but I would be fine using things that are disposable and I wouldn't be using as keepsakes, but would want my actual wedding date for things that I would be using. For example, we used a customized whiskey barrel head as our guest book, I wouldn't want to hang that on my wall with the incorrect wedding date. If we had customized napkins, signs, etc. I wouldn't have cared as much.

It’ll still be our wedding date tho. We still plan to have a private ceremony on our original wedding date.

I have a box of M&Ms on the counter with the wrong date on them, and we're using them even if we get married 8/15. It's a fun little story for people who have been trucking along with us.

I would still use them... it may be mine and my fiancé’s personality (we’re always joking or prancing) i would literally cross the date out and write in the new one😂
i am so sorry you are going through this but best wishes to you and your future husband💕

I think use them, especially as you’ll be having your ceremony that day.
