Random things you're paranoid about

As my wedding date quickly approaches, I find myself worrying about the most random hypothetical situations. Yesterday, I couldn't stop worrying about potentially having a cold sore on my wedding day! I get them once or twice a year and they always blister and look hideous.

I typically get one in the winter months, and one in the summer months.

What random things do you fear will happen on your wedding day?

I know it's bad practices to obsess over things that haven't happened and likely won't, but I can't be alone on this.

I'm so paranoid about hating my wedding photos. I'm so critical of myself in pictures and I just hope I love them!

Talk to your doctor if you're worried about cold sores! I had the same concern so my doctor gave me a prescription for Valtrex to take for two weeks before the wedding. It suppresses the virus that causes them so you're way less likely to end up with one for your wedding day!

As for peeing, just take off your underwear and sit backwards on the toilet! As I drank more, I ended up leaving mine off to make it easier to pee, even with 12 layers of tulle and crinoline (after wedding surprise for DH!). No assistance needed though!

I am worried I will trip either going down the aisle or during our grand entrance. Cold sores are another fear. I get them when I am stressed

For me it's probably the weather. Outdoor ceremony. Main reason we chose this venue was because of all the beautiful space outside. And if it rains. I'll be very very sad. I'm not a fan of our plan B either.

I'm worried about waking up with a big zit. Also hating my wedding pictures. And that the AC will break at the church or country club (more scared about the church breaking since it is smaller and will get really hot really quick)

I'm most worried about petty drama among family and bridal party, which I probably don't need to be, and shouldn't be anyway because I can't control it. I come from divorce so there's just always something someone's mad about, so I can't help it.

The rest I am like eh, if it happens it happens. If I trip and dirty my very expensive dress, my FH will love me anyway and it'll make for a good story.

I truly worry about everything. At the moment I am down to the small details which for me having OCD are the devil to say the least. My biggest fear is getting sick due to me stressing too much which has happened to me several times.

The other thing is it being over a 100 degrees here in Missouri on my wedding day and sweating horribly in my dress for pictures. (I am having an indoor wedding and reception).

My biggest fear is that I will get my gown on, Spanx in place, heels on, then have to pee! Or I'll have to pee at the venue (sitting on a public toilet is disgusting to me)

Also, I'm concerned that people will RSVP yes then don't show. It's common for people to back out of plans at the last minute here.

I'm afraid my mom will sing! I know to some this doesn't seem major but my siblings and I hate when she does this at weddings. She doesn't sing horribly but she isn't as good as she thinks she is and she tries to make everything about her. My siblings and I all warn djs (whenever there are family functions) that they are not under any circumstances allowed to give her the mic. Thankfully we all run interference for each other too lol. I know it sounds silly but that is probably my biggest fear.

    Acne for sure!

Also, I have a scar on my right arm (which would face out when standing at the altar) and if I'm cold, it turns this awful purple color. I just hope that we have a warm October this year!

Tripping/falling before or during the ceremony, guests crashing or not showing up, the weather...

    - I'd be more upset if it was 95 degrees than if it rained, weird I know, but I just don't want to be a melty sweaty mess since our ceremony is in the park and photos will be outdoors too!

The weather. My wedding is on NYE and the weather in Michigan is sooooooooo unpredictable. This past year it was over 50 degrees and sunny on NYE I am praying for the same weather. Its an indoor wedding but I would hate for my guest to have to travel in a snow storm or not come because of one.

OP, omg with the cold sores! Me too. And when they do appear, it's always stress related. Fml.

    I am paranoid about that.

Random family showing up to the wedding without an invitation being given to them. This gives me anxiety like a mother F! They did it to my baby shower and again for my birthday at my mother's house. No one on that side of the family was ever invited to either party. The baby shower, they showed up at 8am and the party wasn't until 1pm. For real!?! Caused so much drama and bs. How they even knew where my mom lived was creepy in itself!

Maybe tmi, but i was paranoid about my period. It is crazy irregular, and I was worried I would be on it on my wedding day. Thank God it started last weekend. My wedding is in 4 days, so I should be in the clear by then.

My biggest fear is my period, I know there are ways to stop it and I'll have to look into it. Or being sick or I have one of my crazy acne breakouts that I get quite often.
