Rain during outdoor wedding with Covid

Hi Jackie! That's definitely nerve-wracking! There's no place to have the wedding if it's raining?

In that case I'd try to rent a tent so that you can go forward with the wedding, even if there's rain! We got married during a hurricane so I can't in good conscience tell you to risk it!

I fortunately did not have to deal with it, but we had a similar forecast ahead of the wedding so I did come up with a plan. If it rained, we were going to borrow an additional tent from a neighbor (we rented one for tables, but didn't want to use it for the ceremony). We had a floral arch, so we were going to set up the extra tent over the arch and have the ceremony underneath it. We probably would've had people watching from the reception tent if it had rained heavily, but if it was just a light rain, people could use umbrellas for our short ceremony. I guess my recommendation would be to find another tent you can use and put it in the part of the venue that you like the most, so you still get some of the aesthetics you're looking for. Also, I don't know how possible it is to get one last minute, but clear top tents exist, so you could look into that.

If you don't have the option of a covered area, you can rent a big clear top tent. They're can be dressed up and can give you the outdoor feel you wanted.
