Question about Toasting glasses??

Glorianna, on March 5, 2013 at 7:15 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

I feel like i'm making too many posts Smiley sad lol I'm sorry. Here's my question (it may sound stupid)- How many toasting glasses do I need to get? Am I getting just one set for my FH and I, or am I getting it for the whole wedding party? What is normal? Also, we aren't having alcohol at the wedding so the only thing that would go in the glasses is sparkling cider. So my thought is that I would just get enough sparkling cider for the wedding party and maybe our parents, and thats all.

Am I wrong? What did everyone else do?

If you get toasting glasses you should get them for you and your fh or for everybody. People will toast with what ever cup they have, no need for special glasses.

I would only get toasting glasses for you and your hubby =)

I personally would get enough sparkling cider for everyone at the reception but that's just what my friends/family would expect.

If you want them to have something other than a regular cup you could always get the plastic looking flutes, but I wouldn't personally worry about it either.

Toasting flutes for you and FH. Personally I would get the plastic ones for the WP and guests and sparkling cider for everyone to toast with at the reception. (Could ask your caterer to bring out on trays just before the toast so guests aren't tempted to down them beforehand) If anyone doesn't want sparkling cider they can toast with whatever drink in hand

Just toasting flutes for you and FH.

We're getting a special set for him and I, the rest of the guests and wedding party will be using rented toasting flutes. If the rental company wasn't so affordable we probably would have just done plastic ones from the dollar store or something.

Sparkling cider works perfect for toasting Smiley smile Neither of us likes champagne so we're just doing sparkling cider all around for toasts. But maybe have enough cider for everyone, but guests could use whatever drink they have

I would get just for you and FH and the rest of the party will toast with their champagne glasses from the table. We got ours on Amazon.com and it was a great deal and then I had them engraved Smiley smile
