Purchasing a Custom Domain

I purchased a custom domain almost a week ago through Wedding Wire and only received a confirmation of the purchase - $24/year and no other instructions on how to launch the custom website and link it the current wedding wire site I already built. I've reached out to their support team now twice via email which seems like the only way to contact them. No response in 6 days! Has anyone else experienced this ? When I go on the custom domain page now and search the domain I "purchased" it says available. Any suggestions on how to get this fixed or a better way to get Wedding Wire to actually provide customer support would be greatly appreciated.

    Yeah i had a lot of problem with WW's wedding website so I only use the forum now. I purchased a custom domain using the knot and have had 0 problems. I have the RSVP w/ meal options all set up and the site is done and ready for guests. I paid about the same $20 ish dolars and like i said, the app/site is way better in my opinion. Smiley smile


    also wanted to add i have emailed the knot when i did have a minor issue (more like i couldnt figure something out) and i received a resposne within hours. wedding wire still hasn't emailed me back and it is months later

    Right after posting this I received an email from Wedding Wire confirming my domain was live. I would recommend using the Forum versus emailing support for anyone having issues.

    I am having the same issue... I purchased the custom domain for 2 years but nothing on how to launch it... I debated so much on whether to go with the Knot or WW, stuck with WW because they had a seating plan tool, but not sure if this was the right choice Smiley sad I will email the support team too, but hoping maybe posting here will be quicker

    I emailed them as well and the issue was resolved quickly. I think the custom domain is much easier for guests. The planning tools on WW are definitely helpful. Good luck!

    I'm experiencing a very similar issue. I purchased a custom domain name a few days ago and I am unable to access it. When I go on the custom domain page now, it still shows the domain I "purchased" as still available. I need to send out invitations ASAP which will include listing this domain, but before I do I'd like to know the website I purchased is working.

    I am having the same issue with my custom domain. I reached out to help@weddingwire.com and I received a very generic (and unhelpful) message in reply. I need to send out my save the dates soon and need to know if my domain is ready to use-or get my $24 refunded.

    We are having the same issues. We purchased our domain, but have not heard anything on how to activate it. When I visit the page we get the same error. Unreal

    If you have a the knot account I used them for the website/rsvp feature for my wedding last year and I had good luck with them!

    I'm glad that I'm not the only one with the issue! I thought it was strange that my payment went through without any other information about how to launch our website. We're trying to purchase our Save the Dates with our Customized Domain so hopefully this can be resolved soon or get a refund.

    I'm having the same issue. I purchased today, but no information on when or how to activate my custom domain. I wish I would have read this forum before purchasing, I would have definitely reconsidered the options.

    If I don't get a response in the next few days, I think contesting with my credit card and filing a complaint with the BBB might be best - it's unfair that this issue has been going on for years with no real resolution. I seems like this is a common issue among those using the service. You can't just take someones money and not give them the service they paid for, pretty sure that's called fraud.

    Same issue! Why isn’t my domain live? This is very frustrating, even though I liked some other aspects of the site. Also, they don’t let you add Honeyfund or other retailers other than their selected/preferred few, which is really not cool :-/.
