Publix wedding cake!!!

Hi!!!

We are considering to get our cake from Publix in Destin, any thoughts? Some people say it is good, better than these expensive bakeries down there. We are coming from other state, and we will only have a very small dinner after the ceremony. Help me decide!! Lol Any recommendation? What flavor is the best!?

They do a free tastings if you have a Publix nearby or if you plan to be in the area for any reason in advance. They give you three 7-inch round cakes to try, in any combination of flavors/filings/icings! We just did ours from the Publix in Fort Walton Beach and it was fabulous. The combos we tried: red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting and chocolate eclair filling; marble cake with chocolate fudge icing and vanilla custard filling; and chocolate cake with buttercream icing and chocolate covered strawberry filling. We haven’t landed on our final selections yet but I know that whatever we get will be delicious. I grew up having Publix make cakes for all of our birthdays or other celebrations, you can’t go wrong! Fantastic customer service, great prices, and delicious cakes. We’re having them do the cake for our wedding, too!

We love Publix for birthdays! I looked Into their wedding cakes but found their prices to be just as much as other bakers I was looking at. Looking back, I should have went with them Instead. Our cake was only so-so anyway.
I think it will be fine 😊

We did a tasting with them, and honestly, everything we tasted was fantastic! We ended up going with a different baker that was a local, small business. But had we of not fallen in love with the baker we chose, we would have gone with Publix.

I was looking for 60-70 people but it looked like they were around $300-400. That was 2 or 3 tier cakes. With only 15 people I’m sure it would be a lot less!
