We are having a small, casual destination wedding on the beach of West Florida this October (only 35 ppl). It has been my goal to have a tasteful wedding on a budget since my fiance and I are paying for almost everything. Plus we wanted it to be pretty casual.
With that in mind, I have heard great things about Publix cakes/cupcakes. We have a kroger based store here in Colorado that makes great cupcakes so I decided to book with Publix in Madeira Beach. I got 20 chocolate and 20 white cupcakes with our wedding colored icing. They weren't able to accommodate much variety or personalization (like fillings, etc) with but I really don't need anything fancy. Vanilla and chocolate is fine as long as they are good quality. The total for 40 cupcakes came to only $26 which surprised me. Am I sacrificing too much? Has anyone in this area had good or bad experiences with Publix?
