ptsd about planning your wedding a second time

Definite yes, for me and FH. I'm struggling to be excited and I feel like I've aged 5 years since covid hit. FH actually has a visceral reaction to party planning after all that's happened. No good tips from me as of yet, but you are not alone.

Sure am. Trying to be excited again, but it’s like why bother if it’s all going to change anyways? Most things are done already too so there’s no pressure to keep planning. I just have to wait to see what international travel looks like in 4 months, then start finalizing the details, or cancel the DW.

I didn't postpone until 2021- went from April to September of 2020. Let me tell you- re-planning that wedding was a bear. I postponed the first time a month out so had so much set in stone. With covid, it made it so hard to get excited and to know what the heck we could and couldn't even do for our big day. I think that re-planning was super difficult and one of the reasons I didn't postpone a second time- I wouldn't have been able to muster the energy to plan again..

I hope so too! We will find that excitement again. I think we are just dealing with so much added stress with covid and lockdowns, not to mention the wildfire smoke that so many are dealing with (we are blanketed with smoke the last few days, and I’m in Canada)

View Quoted Comment This is my experience too! We were April to October and I’m still having trouble getting the last bit done. I feel like I lost all momentum and have forgotten the smaller details I had planned out. Definitely one of the big reasons I didn’t postpone again.
