Pros and cons weekday wedding vs weekend

Do Friday if you want guest to stick around longer. Go with Sunday if you want more guest to show up.

Thanx I don't have to many coming from oot so FH and I may decide Sunday was leaning towards it anyway .

More people will go to the reception on a Friday but maybe skip the ceremony depending on work. On a Sunday, people would probably leave your reception earlier unless they can take Monday off.

@Lilly I was thinking the same for Sunday .good thing we are planning to end the reception early ..we aren't really partiers so that will probably work out best!

We had a Friday wedding and we had our guests partying until midnight! We started at 6 PM so if people wanted to take a half day they could. We chose to have a short 15 minute ceremony so our guests could get into food and partying ASAP. We, also, had massive savings from $1500 down to $800 for our venue fee.

We recently went to a Sunday wedding and over half of the guests left during or right after dinner.

We are getting married on a Thursday that happens to go into a holidayish weekend so it worked out great. The venue cut as $2k and the vendors we have worked with are all flexible since we're not on a demanding day like Saturday. Keep that in mind with your vendors! Best wishes to you and your honey
