Pros and Cons of a Vegas wedding?

Kaylee, on September 9, 2018 at 9:53 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
We are considering a Las Vegas wedding. They seem cheaper, and we have come across some nice venues. We will have 15-25 guests. We want to put most of our budget to the honeymoon. Thoughts???

I think it is completely up to you and what you are looking for.

We are getting married with about 20 people in Curacao. It was much less expensive than doing a big local wedding. Celebrating with those closest to us and having an amazing experience with them was what matters most to us.

Just make sure your VIP’s can make the trip, otherwise it sounds like fun!

That's the kind of wedding I'm going for, is a small and intimate wedding. We are looking at different locations and we have been talking about Vegas and if that would be worth it, and if we would enjoy it.

I'm having my wedding at an "upscale" Airbnb, making our own food, buying our own drinks. 20ish people. Soooo much cheaper!! 😍

    Hi Kaylee!

Have you been to Las Vegas before?

I love your idea of an intimate, small wedding with those closest to you, at a unique destination!

And out of curiosity, where are you honeymooning? An idea: Some couples consider having their destination wedding in the same place as their honeymoon location. That way, it's a destination wedding and they get to just stay longer, for their honeymoon, following the big day. Sort of a 2-in-one idea to consider, too Smiley smile

We are getting married in Vegas next month and can’t wait!!! Everyone coming are so excited and can’t stop talking about it, and it hasn’t been overly stressful in planning because it’s basically all packaged weddings tweaked to how you want it. Totally recommend it!!!

Never been, but he has and really liked it. The venues I have found online seem oretty nice and I am pretty open to ideas right now. As far as honeymooning, we have looked at other locations like Mexico to get married and stay, but with this Vegas idea, we were thinking to stay about 3 days, on the 3rd day get married and flee off to another location the same day to start our honeymoon. That way we get to enjoy a day in Vegas with our party, and they can stay as long as they wish after the wedding, thinking about a reception when we return.

Went to a Vegas wedding a few years ago and it was a freaking BLAST! Ceremony at Caesar's palace, they have a very sweet outdoor garden and it was very pretty. Had reception in the back room of Carmines, food was awesome, I'd highly recommend it. The best part of the weekend was running around town with all of the wedding-goers, there was always something to do, not a minute of boredom.

That sounds really fun! Were you able to personalize your ceremony at all? Like your flowers and stuff?

You know, I'm not sure how much say the bride and groom had in the planning of the ceremony. But, it was beautiful!
