Since they were hundreds of miles away, I wrote each a nice letter with all the info, and asked them to call when they knew if they could do it. So they had time to check calendar, work schedules, budget, before answering.

I planed a “girls night out” and took them all to a restaurant. When we were sitting there was boxes on each seat with their names and the proposal. Some people say not to do this as it puts pressure for the person to say yes but I know my group well enough. They all loved the surprise and the decor y had as well as their gifts.

All of my bridesmaids live in a different city than I do so I sent them a card that said “Will you be my bridesmaid (or maid of honor)?” on the front. On the inside, I wrote them all the same note and taped a knot bracelet on it. 😊

I had wine glasses made that said “Bridesmaid” in their favorite color and put it in a gift bag with their favorite wine with a cute/clever note asking them. All of them are bringing their BM glass to the bridal suite so we will have matching glasses to drink out of while getting ready (I have one that says “Bride”). I figured it would look good for photos.

Oh and the dresses pictured in the cards were a joke. They won’t be in those ugly dresses hahaha.

I asked my local girls in person, FaceTimed one out of town friends and sent a card with a long personal note to the other out of town friend who had a crazy work/school schedule and was unable to FaceTime.

I texted them and asked because our schedules are always conflicting. Not the most personal, but they were excited and accepted nonetheless!

I was boring. I just asked my daughter's if they wanted to be my bridesmaids and text my sister and asked if she wanted to be my maid of honor. I'll be giving them gifts at the rehearsal though

I got champagne glasses with their name and bridesmaid/maid of honor on them. I got them from amazon and they look great! I’m planning on trying to give them to them in person when I see them in person! I think it will be nice! All the girls know because of our closeness anyways so it’s really just a nice thought

I just asked. I personally didn't want to do a big thing because most of them knew already.

I didn't do anything too special like cards or gifts, I just asked them each personally.

Maid of Honor is one of my friends from school. I met up for dinner with her and asked her at the end.

My sister was just kind of a "de facto" bridesmaid so I didn't even ask her lol, just confirmed "you're my bridesmaid, yeah?"

#3, I called her on the phone and asked her after we spent some amount of time catching up. This worked well because we got to have a nice, intimate conversation with each other, and our only other options for contact.

#4, I just asked online through messaging - she's a friend I made online and we've been in touch for about 8 years now. Honestly we've actually never spoken on the phone to each other and I think calling would actually make her nervous! So messaging worked for us since that was the communication we were most comfortable with!
