We had a mutual proposal 4 years and 3 months after our first date!

2 years into our relationship

A year and a half! When you know you know, especially with Christ at the center!

I am not sure if I answered this one. We had been dating for 8 years before he proposed, but a couple of those years were in high school, so neither one of us was anywhere close to being ready at that point. We never broke up. We started dating Junior year. We went to both proms, survived going to different colleges and now we live together in a completely different state from where we grew up.

My fiancé proposed to me on our first vacation together. What made it special was this trip was me showing him my home state, Alaska. The first day we were there was actually our third-year anniversary together. He asked me to show him my old stomping grounds, places that meant a lot to me. We walked along the coastal trail looking at the Sleeping Lady. After a sojourn on the mudflats, we went back to the woods along the trail and sat on a fallen log.

I remember just looking out at the water and Sleeping Lady, sitting on a fallen log, and he looks at me to say "I have to ask you a question." His voice is shaky and I could hear his heart beating fast. That's when I looked over at him and he asked, "Will you marry me?" Before he even got the chance to get down on one knee or even get the ring out, I am squealing and crying while saying "YES!"

A mutual friend had been trying to set us up for years but I was so down on my self due to health. I didn't think anyone would love me. What added to those feelings was the fact I had to have a total hysterectomy on April 23rd this yr. Out of nowhere I received a message on Facebook from him on April 16th 2021. We had great conversations over messenger then moved to talking on phone, next was video calls. I'm in Oregon & he was in New Mexico where I use to live
My surgery didn't go as planned and my health was not good so on June 23rd 2021 he hopoed on a plan to come here to Oregon & never went home. Every day I love him more, he proposed on August 19th 2021, we plan to get married Oct 2022.

One year and eight months!

9.5 years. Granted we started dating in high school and have been dating throughout college. I always said it was going to be up to him as to when everything happened. We will be getting married next fall after 10.5 years (almost 11 years) of being together.

We met in December 2018, started dating in September 2019, and got engaged September 2021!
