Proposal: Modern or Traditional?

Got down on one knee !

He got down on one knee in the restaurant.

Traditional in that she got down on one knee, but we were dressed as our favorite romantic pairing from a favorite video game at Comic Con. We asked friends to take pics of us because it was the first time we wore those costumes to an event and she used that to get pics of the proposal.

Traditional! He got down on one knee with both of our immediate families and a ton of my extended family members around. It was so nice to be able to share the engagement with everyone!

Modern. he was talking to his friends at bowling and one asked when we were getting married my fh said oh sometime next year. when we got home i asked if he was serious he said yes we will have been together 10 years by then, will you marry me?

Modern - first time he asked was through text on a whim. Even when he formally proposed, we were both seated in a car.

Traditional! He got down on one knee in the living room on Christmas Eve!

He said he had planned on getting down on one knee, but by the time I turned around in the kitchen he was crying with the ring in his hand so I started crying. Which led to hugging

Modern- Although he got down on one knee, I’d say my proposal was anything and everything but traditional. I was proposed as I was getting on a cruise ship for our 3rd anniversary, a banner towed by an aircraft flew over Old San Juan and the Pier area, the message: “Iris, will you marry me? Gabe ❤️”. When I read it and turned around, he was down on one knee. It was beautiful, unexpected, and certainly special.

Traditional! He tried to get me to stand up for when he got down on his knee, but i was already sitting on my towel at the beach and his tactics weren't working. A+ for effort and i think the one knee thing really sold me!

Traditional. We were on a cruise and he got down on one knee and proposed on the top deck after captain's night (so we were all dressed up) in front of some of the crew. It was amazing and totally a surprise.

Ours was definitely modern. DH proposed in his car.

Modern for this as well we did a photo shoot with the old time photo company and we were both sitting in a bath tub when the proposal happened.

His proposal was traditional He planned it all out at our favorite themed restaurant in Disney World

He got down on one knee to make it official. I knew what was happening before hand, we had already booked our venue 4 months prior.
