I haven't started mine, but is it double aided? What did you use to in terms of glue, dots? I keep hearing conflicting choices on adhesives so I wanted to ask.

Thanks ladies! Only 59 more to go. I got the template from Etsy store "Wedding Templates" for $8. I ended up getting our escort cards and table numbers from there as well; same design (eggplant & silver leaves).

I printed on white cardstock, cut and then laminated them at school. All this hard work, I want them to last forever, lol! Since I already had a ton of glue sticks I just used my mini glue gun to attatch the wooden handle, however, I used Scotch Wrinkle-Free glue stick to actually glue the paper together.

The way the template is set (as probably most) it has to be cut and then folded so that the wooden handle sits inbetween the paper. So the only way to have the two sides bonded was to use the glue stick. I thought the glue gun might warp the paper if I used it anywhere other than for the handle.

And for frame of reference, the size of the fan is 4X6 once folded and cut.

    P.S. So glad I laminated!

P.P.S. I got a corner rounder from Hobby Lobby and my mom actually made the bows in white and grey for that extra touch. You can always buy pre-made bows though.

Oh, P.s. When did you laminate ... after you cut them out and glued? I'm assuming you glued the laminate together? Sorry --- just so happy to see someone who's done this before and not just tutorials!

Those look great! I did fans too. Instead of ribbon I did rhinestones on the handles.

@FutureMrsD I used double sided tape for the stick. And used spray adhesive to make it double sided.

@FutureMrs.D - I cut, then laminated and then glued.

@Christina- Good suggestion on the double sided tape.

It's not nearly as hard as I thought it'd be Krista. It also doesn't hurt that I have access to an industrial sized laminator! As a matter of fact, I'm about to leave in a minute so I can work on them at school. I promised myself I'd be done with everything by the 12th. We'll see....
