Printing invites at Staples..I need help.

Mrs Cheapskate, on January 21, 2015 at 9:58 PM Posted in Planning 0 9

So, as i i understand it, the process is that Im supposed to go on the microsoft program and look for invitation templates? Thats my first question. Is it called wedding invitation templates? Then when I get it the way i want it, im supposed to save it on one of those sticks (forgot what you call them lol). Then i take that and the blank invitation cards that i bought to Staples, and they will print them out on my cards, right? Anybody know what i should expect to pay for 30 invites in this manner? I bought an invitation kit at the dollar store for a buck a piece for 2 boxes of 25 cards and envelopes. OR do they they have the template if i just provide the wording for the invitations ? Im so computer iliterate, its embarrassing! :-)

If you can PM the wording and what you want it to look like, I can send you a file you can take to staples.

You need to find a template to fit the paper style. It should tell you where to get the template on the instructions on the box.

Jane, im not quite ready because we dont have wedding time of day locked in, but certainly would RAELLY appreciate your help!!! :-) :-)

Mrs Morales, they came from the dollar store, and there are no directions or website as part of the deal. I guess printing instructions cost $39.00 lol

I made mine from scratch without using Word but you don't need a USB to print out at Staples. They actually want you to send your file to the email they have specifically for printing.

I would call your local staples and double check that they will let you print in your own paper. I have heard that they don't always let you. They will also be able to provide you with pricing.

As for the invite design and set up. I created mine from scratch. You will need to know the size of the paper, and you set up your program for that size. Then you can add whatever wording or graphics you'd like. Make sure to leave a safe margin on the edge so nothing gets cut off. For wording search google I found tons of examples and combined a few to get wording I liked.

Another way to do it is to search printable wedding invites on etsy. They will design and word your invite for next to nothing if you find the right person, which is what I did. (I'm so dang cheap.) I paid 9 dollars for the invite and under 20 dollars to have 50 cut and printed at Office Depot. I found 50 super cute envelopes at hobby lobby (on sale!) and it was soooo much cheaper than using an online company! They look like I paid way more than I did! Smiley smile
