Pre Labor Day or Monday Labor Day wedding

Hello all due to Covid we have had to change our date to next yr... only problem is we only have 2 dates to choose from. Thursday 9/2 pre-labor day or actual Labor day Monday 9/6. Its a small wedding mostly family only a handful from out of state... thoughts?? Thank you in advance.

    I think Monday is easier for travel purposes. They can travel to the wedding on the weekend and home on Tues (if need be) only missing one day of work. With a Thursday wedding your guests would need to take off Wed/Thurs/Fri for travel + wedding potentially missing three days of work....

    Since it's a small wedding of mostly family, I would poll your guests and then go with the majority opinion.

    If I had to choose between the two, I would definitely pick labor day.

    Mine is in a week from today! We course the Thursday before labor day because we wanted a long weekend and it was cheaper! All of our 60 guests are able to make it without a problem. I did send save the dates 6 months in advance just to give people a heads up and I remind my guests that it is the Thursday before labor day.

    I would choose Monday, chances are more people are already off then Smiley smile But I would make it earlier on account folks may need to return to work on Tuesday.
