Potential plan b honeymoon?

Sydney, on June 19, 2020 at 10:21 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 12
Hello ladies! My wedding is on Sept 25th 2020 And we were supposed to hop aboard our cruise ship the following day. We just saw the announcement that cruise ships will be postponed until Sept 15th and could possibly be extended. Anyone else making plan B Options for honeymoon? What are your plans?

Honestly just postpone is our back up. We want to go to the resort and we paid in full. Even if we can cancel we don't want to. It would be disappointing but ee decided we want to honeymoon we chose so we'll just wait.

We are postponing. We had a 2.5 half week hiking tripped planned to Alaska and Washington. Four of our lodgings canceled on us so we will plan for next year.

Our cruise was cancelled for April and we postponed to September 5th. We are going to go somewhere driving distance for a week to relax, thinking of Asheville, NC right now.

We got married May 2nd and had a 10 day Caribbean cruise planned for May 13th, that obviously was cancelled by the cruise line. We decided to take our full refund (instead of the 125% credit) and we’re just waiting. It’s impossible to make any plans now. We don’t know when the cruise lines will be up again, but it will definitely be one of the last things to open back up. So it doesn’t make sense to even take a credit because you just don’t know what will happen. If you’re offered a full refund, i would take it. Even if your cruise does happen you don’t know what will be open as far as excursions and do you really wanna pay full price to be stuck on the boat? Our plan is to do something when we can, we didn’t have a plan b because everything was closed in May

Our cruise got cancelled. We pushed it back 9 months. Fingers crossed for February.
My husband wants to get away so bad. But due to COVID, I keep refusing.

We canceled our honeymoon indefinitely. I’d rather just wait than waste money or be disappointed again.

I was definitely concerned about the excursion part as well! It’s so hard to fortell the future at this point 😭

We are postponing our 2 weeks in Japan until we know their borders are open and we are permitted to travel. We haven't been able to actually reach anyone with Virgin Atlantic to cancel the flights though, so hopefully we get all of our points back (we were flying first class to Tokyo... so it wasn't cheap!)

I really wanted to plan a 3 or 4 day "mini-moon" but the Department of Defense still isn't allowing travel for leave and has left it up to each state, so we have no way to plan anything.

For a cruise, I would definitely have a Plan B if you can!

We were *this* close to booking flights to Italy following our early September wedding when COVID spread rapidly. Glad we held off. We plan to go in fall 2021. Plan B is Hawaii; however, it’s unknown if Hawaii will be allowing tourists without 14-day quarantine. Plan C is Napa, CA and then drive to LA. We don’t have plan D yet haha. We’re waiting until just before August to book anything. We’re okay with last-minute plans.

We booked our honeymoon for Greece and are now postponing that until at least Fall 2021. We are also looking into Napa Valley. I went a few years back and had an incredible time!
