Postponed

Tammy, on April 18, 2020 at 9:14 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 7

Well finally had to move my wedding date from 06/27/2020 to 10/17/2020. I'm hoping I'm hoping things improve to have it on 10/17, but we decided that is the finally date. If things don't improve we will get married with just the officiant and our kids present and meet up with family and friends another time.

Best wishes everyone.

Sorry you are having to make such a change but you are among a very large group dealing with this same thing. Hopefully by October things will be better and your wedding will happen as planned. Good luck

Sorry you had to postpone!! I was also a fellow June 27th Bride and we postponed to December 12th. I'm sure it will be cleared up by October and you'll have a lovely day!!

How are you gals feeling about postponing your wedding dates? We pick our dates that have a significance and then have to change it? Or we keep them by having a very intimate ceremony with nobody around to celebrate with and the memory is COVID-19 ruined my wedding day. I mean I guess it will always be a thought.

Setting a new date gives you something new to look forward to but I feel so defeated right now. We were going to have a destination wedding but now that’s off the table for this year but we want to get married so I suggested doing it on our engagement anniversary in august. But I’m so “planned out”. Spent so much time planning our may 1st wedding that I don’t actually want to do anymore planning or thinking about it. I feel like such a Debbie downer, I’m sorry.

I’m 6/27 and our governor is giving his reopening plan next week that’s when we will make our final decision. In the mean time, we have a back up date of 8/2 on hold

I'm down about changing the date but I want my guest to feel comfortable. I dont think our venue will be able to reopen anyway until July or August. On the plus side I can take more time to perfect the details.

    Hi Tammy,

I'm sorry that you're feeling sad about postponing, but it sounds like you've made the best possible decision with the information you have. Plus, as you said, you have more time to perfect the details! What a positive perspective. Smiley smile
