Postponed wedding help 1
So we had to postpone our wedding to August due to COID, but still got married on our day, June 5th! I got a cheap dress off of lulus and everything worked out beautifully.

BUT I NEED HELP!
My mother in law and hubby (still not used to saying that) don't think we should hold another ceremony in August! I know we are already married but I wanted to do it for those who could not be there. AND I wanted to do it for the pictures! I want my girls to be able to walk down the aisle in their dresses and my niece will be so upset if she can't wear her dress and walk down the aisle too. (She's 6, my little flower girl)
Is it stupid to have another ceremony? I dont know what to do. 🥺

Not stupid at all!! I totally get that feeling you can have a vow renewal and be able to re do the whole thing! There’s no reason you shouldn’t it’s not our fault these moments were taken away from us I say go for it because it’s something that you really want!!

No, that is exactly what we are doing! We are having a small ceremony 6/20 and then doing it all again at our big wedding 8/7. For the big wedding, I will be wearing my dress (different dress), have bridesmaids and flower girls. When I have explained it to people, some act a little surprised, but it’s our day 😝

I think a lot of people are doing this exact thing because of Covid. I know at least one my friends is doing this. He is getting married in a few weeks on this original date with just him, his fiancee and their parents. In October, they plan on having the bjg wedding with friends and extended. We would have done the same thing if we were in this situation. I would talk to your husband and express how important it is to you and hopefully he will agree. It sounds like his mom might be influencing his decision.

We are doing the same thing! I don't care what anyone says... Covid might have ruined our original date, but I will not let it ruin what we had envisioned for our big day!
