Postponed September Wedding

We’re one of the many 10/10/20 couples. So we’re still riding it out and will make a final decision in August. Luckily we have no planning left to do, no vendors left to book, no bridal party to deal with and only 65 invited guests. So that makes waiting less stressful.

Our date is 9/20/2020 and we are planning our wedding. We have no plans to postpone unless advised by the state and if then we would get married on our wedding date and have a reception at a later time.

Hey there! I was a summer 2020 bride and now I'm a summer 2021 bride. I just want you to know that you're not alone. It totally sucks and I feel your pain. As devastating as it is to postpone a day you've waited so long and planned so much for, I am glad you and your fiance came to a decision that was right for you. You'll get your day! It will just be awhile.

So sorry to hear. but glad you were able to find a new date

I’m also trying to figure out to postpone or not. I’m in Sept this year but have a backup date on hold for next May. I don’t want to wait until next year but waiting on the states guidelines and if guests will feel comfortable. I will make it work either way but I don’t want to be robbed of all the things that was deserved on our day. I just picked up my dress today and I should be happy but with everything going on it’s hard to be.

This is exactly what I am doing. Ours is 9/26/2020 and we are still planning. I plan on waiting to buy personalized items with our date on it until closer to July / August, but everything else is still getting planned as usual. If anything, we will still be getting married on this date and then celebrating with friends and family later.
