Postponed November Jamaica Wedding

Ugh, today we made the decision to postpone our Jamaica Wedding until Nov.2021. It was a very hard decision but with the social distancing & international travel we rather be safe then sorry. Also we live in NJ & seems like our state is never gonna re-open..

Thankfully our resort was awesome & understood, but our Travel agent that dealt with our flights/room blocks was a little nasty saying we are jumping the gun since Nov. is still so far away - even tho payment dates for guest are due like next month so I found her a little rude.. but whateves. Anyone else reschedule November weddings or destination weddings?

Just wanted to kind of vent & see how all the other brides are dealing with everything going on, thanks for listening!

    I'm sorry you've had to postpone.

    However, I'm in NJ, too, so I totally get why you would. Your travel agent was completely out of line. Is there a way you can change agents?

    We just decided to postpone our October wedding, and are supposed to honeymoon in Jamaica. We were discussing this today, actually, and even if we ARE able to travel there, we don't know if we would want to. Being on an airplane, and the potential to have to wear masks on the beach does not sound appealing right now.

    I also agree that your agent was out of line. With the way the world is right now, and so many people in the same situation, she should be more understanding. Your comfort level and safety are top priority. You should ask for someone else!
