Postponed big celebration ideas

Leslie, on July 29, 2020 at 6:02 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 2
Like many of you, we had to postpone our regular wedding to 2021 due to covid. However, we are having a micro wedding in 10 days on our original date and zooming to those who wont be there.

My question is about the postponed celebration for next year. I know we could do a wedding vow renewal but I was looking for ideas that might get more guests involved. Next fall, we will have so much to celebrate, like probably getting past all the covid shutdowns and other stressful stuff. Does anyone think if would be weird to have a mass vow renewal or a more general type of celebration to celebrate all of our guests somehow? Thanks for any ideas you might have!!

My fiancé and I are pretty much doing the same. We are getting married on our original date with immediate family and bridal party. We will use soon to include the rest of our guests. We really want to still do our big wedding reception (350 people) so, we moved our big party to October next year and calling it a one year anniversary party. We had a lot we had planned for our original wedding day so we just moved everything to the party next year! What a year!!

I definitely think everyone will be feeling extra celebratory once we all finally get to socialize and celebrate happy events again!

You could really play up the "let's finally party" angle! 🎉
