Super August 2020

Postponed and somewhat relieved

Nicole, on April 29, 2020 at 8:23 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 3
We finally gave in and decided to postpone our August 1st wedding. I was just over everything and didn’t want to wait any longer. Right after emailing our venue, our coordinator called and agreed that we should postpone. So far our main venues are on the same page. We’re still deciding what date to postpone to since we’re not sure what’s going to happen next year. But we will still be getting married on August 1st in court. For those who got married already but are having their big celebration later on, how did you announce it to everyone?

Hey I’m July 17 postponed as well but still also getting legally married that day. I ended up making a wedding website with all the information and I posted it on Facebook but I know everyone doesn’t have Facebook so I had no choice but to make change the dates for my new date. If you don’t have a date yet you can always mail something with information regarding your decision. I used minted which wasn’t expensive at all but it’s a know your crowd type of thing I know a lot of my guests don’t have social media so I had no choice but to make them.

I'm honestly relieved to be seeing dates later than ours deciding to postpone. My fiance and I were just discussing our July 10, 2020 wedding date and making a decision on postponing to next year. It seems crazy, especially if everything dies down, but there are so many unknowns! A lot of girls I keep seeing are moving from May to July of this year. I wish them the best, but I do not want to have to reschedule twice.

    Hi Nicole,

I'm glad you're feeling relieved about the postponement! I can imagine that making a decision (one way or the other) feels good.
