We don’t mind if you overshare in these community discussions: Did you announce your engagement on social media?, & Where are you taking your engagement pictures?

We didn’t share pics of the venue, just the name. I wish we even remembered to take pictures at the venue! Lol hopefully when we go for our tasting next month we will get a chance

I'm totally the same way Sharon! I hardly take photos and usually just note the important events! What does your ring look like?!

I’m attaching a pic of what the representative sent over when we asked to see how my engagement ring would sit with the wedding band I wanted. Now imagine that as a cushion cut and in rose gold!

I don’t post much in general, but I did post that I got engaged, I posted engagement photos, and I posted the “i said yes to the dress” pic. Other than that, nothing else wedding related has been posted

I keep my social media posts about wedding details VERY minimal because I don't want people who are not invited to believe the are or have enough information to show up! I would use Wedding Wire forums and discussions to share details since it's a safe space here!! ❤️

Yes, this exactly!! Most of my social media "friends" did not make the guest list cut. So, I don't want to make anyone feel bad, and I don't want to have to deal with the inevitable awkward questions: "where's my invitation?" "oh I can't wait to go to your wedding" and the worst, "I'm going to be a bridesmaid, right?"

    NO THANK YOU.

I'm not one to post much personal stuff on social media anyway. Occasionally I'll post pictures of FH and me (on a special occasion), or pics of my granddaughter, with my daughter's permission (she's too cute not to share with the world), but other than that, I just read other people's stuff.

I posted that we got engaged, posted a few engagement photos, and plan to post a few wedding photos. I don't want any info about my wedding on there and afterward I don't want to make a big deal to people who weren't invited.

Social media doesn't even know I'm engaged lol. I don't like people knowing my business. If I think someone needs to know something, I'll tell them personally.
