So my friend is getting married in a few weeks, I got my invite, and well, the damn RSVP had no postage. So I call her and tell her since there is no stamp consider this phone call my RSVP. She insists that I MUST send the RSVP via mail. So now I have to take time out of my day, find a damn post...

She insists that I MUST send the RSVP via mail. So now I have to take time out of my day, find a damn post office to buy a single stamp. I plan on including stamps with my invites. Have any of you NOT included stamps with your invites? If not, why? Isn't it rude not to?

A book of stamps is actually closer to $10 - which while yes it doesn't break the bank, I know I have had to buy a book of stamps before, and then I only use 1 or 2, and then I somehow lose the rest because I only mail things once every 8 months. I have never heard of someone not stamp their rsvps ( even if there is an online option). She's crazy if she thinks people are actually going to RSVP to her, she's going to have to track a lot of people down...

If you're going to require the card be returned as the RSVP then you MUST include postage. She's creating a huge headache for herself. If she had her RSVP via a website, call, email, etc, then I think no postage is fine ... people have other options.

It's rude to expect everyone to have a stamp lying around to send in. Ridiculous IMHO

The $4.90 is ten forty-nine cent stamps - sometimes you can buy sheets of 10.

I don't think it's rude- but it is annoying. I did include postage on all mine, however, because I wanted them returned!

Hmmm I did include postage, but I wish I hadn't. Almost everyone except 2 families hand delivered them back. Waste of postage and paper. I imagine the situation is different for me though since I'm having a very small wedding and I almost expect everybody to attend. Now that I think about it, I could've skipped the invitations too and just asked what everyone wanted to eat, but oh well.
