Be the first to get ready- makeup hair dress, everything. Have everything laid out for the photographer the day before. Don’t be responsible for anything that day. I recommend having the first look. No questions asked. Point someone to make sure they are looking at you while you are taking pics to make sure u are on point. Have a list of must have shots and give it to someone else besides the photographer to make sure u are getting them. So much more but these are the ones I wish I would have done differently. Oh and take some shot so you are loose and enjoy the moment!
My only married friend gave me the same advice, be the first one to be ready makeup and hair. If not you’ll loose the opportunity to re-do what you didn’t like or start over. Also, you’ll look like bad while everyone looks beautiful and are taking pictures around you. You want to be ready first to be able to photograph with everyone. Usually they leave you to the end because they say your make up will be more fresh or your curls will not sag, basically they are saving themselves some effort, you should be able to touch up closer to the time of the wedding.

I went by that recommendation as well and was late, looked the worst bc everyone else had their hair and makeup done, didn’t have time to even take in how beautiful I looked bc I had to rush to get ready, and didn’t have time to make any adjustments. You won’t be doing anything that will make you sweat etc. And If your makeup and hair people are good you won’t need much to touch up before the ceremony. Trust me. Get ready first.
My HMU ladies said they will do me in the middle (there are a bunch of us getting ready). This way I don't have to go first but also not waiting until last so I won't be rushed and will be ready if the photographer shows up early.
