Have any of you done a departure with friends?

So instead of driving away by yourselves as bride & groom, you hop into a limo with your close friends/wedding party?

Kind of. It was for my best friend's wedding. She had buses that took us to and from the hotel, so we all hopped on the bus and had a little party in the hotel room after. It was fun, and we knew when to leave so they could have their alone time.

DH was in a BP for some friends of ours, and they had a limo/party bus that took us back to the hotel, and there was a bit of an after party in one of the rooms, but it was kind of haphazard? And happened in shifts.
My MOH and her husband drove us home in their car, but we didn't have an after party.
