Welp just when you think you've planned everything, something falls through! We are getting married July 16, 2021 just outside of Charlottesville (Gordonsville, VA area -the Market at Grelen) and planned to have a party the next day (Saturday) - open to all wedding guests - at the venue where most guests are staying (cabins) to be convenient, cheap, and safe. It was going to be informal where we just bring all the left over alcohol/food and people can come and go as they please. Now cabins are saying they can't allow in guests who aren't staying there, which is a total shock and enough ppl are staying elsewhere this is no longer viable.
Anyone from this area/familiar with it to have suggestions? Looking for somewhere north or east of Charlottesville (Barboursville, GOrdonsville, Orange County, etc). We really want to keep it informal - like we don't want to pay for/hire caterers or require guests to "RSVP" to the day-after events, which makes it hard to book anywhere commercial like a vineyard. I'm at a loss and the only thing I Can think of is maybe renting out a big air bnb and having people go there?
