Post Wedding Celebration

Emily, on February 7, 2019 at 5:49 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 8
We got married here in the US last October, and I really wanted to celebrate with my family back in the Philippines, so we did a post wedding celebration in the beach, "reenactment" of our first look messages. It was so fun, less stress, and instant.,just 20 of us. We enjoyed it so much

Yes, it was so relaxed. With my experience of planning the first one- 10 mos, and the other one was just 2 mos( only the venue and photographer booked ahead of time)., you get stressed because of so many choices, I guess if you don't have so much time, you narrow your choices and just let go. Everything will just fall into its places and will always be great, your love for each other and family is more important.

Hi Emily! My wedding will happen in Germany and thinking of a post-wedding celebration in the Philippines, also by the beach. Honestly, I have no idea how to plan a post-wedding celebration. And I don’t want to spend money for an even coordinator. Maybe you can give some ideas on the flow of the program.

Yeah, I also searched for an event coordinator but too expensive for a simple wedding so I did everything online with a little help from my nephew. Where are you located in the Philippines?
So we spent a weekend on a private beach house in Guimaras Island, a 4-hr drive from our place., Kind of a small getaway for my family. I found the venue thru airbnb. I also searched for a photographer in the area. Food was taken cared of by the caretaker of the house, we just did boodle fight by the beach so all seafood and grill, kamayan style with buko juice😀😁😍. We just did a re enactment, said the same messages to each other from our wedding in the US and my uncle prayed over us. My family's Long sleeves and dresses from divisioria. My dress was tailored by a local seamstress, I sent my measurements ahead of time, and she did alterations when we arrived.
If you can coordinate with a caretaker or hotel coordinator they might have recommendations or packages already depending on the location where you want it. Good Luck and congratulations on your engagement, no matter what, it will be a memorable one.
