What a week it has been! I've officially been Mrs. Johnson for a full week and a day.
My biggest piece of advice to all of you is this: whomever you have as your day-of point person, whether professional coordinator or someone else (and yes, you need one if you are having anything bigger than say a JP wedding), make sure they know well in advance EXACTLY what you want for your day. My coordinator and I had several communication issues due to the sheer volume of conversations we were having but the things that were on the timeline, and even that I corrected at the rehearsal were executed to perfection on the day of which was amazing because I was over an hour late getting there and did not get a chance to do much at all. My coordinator came through in a major way which made me appreciate her all the more given previous frustrations.
Also, once the seating charts are set, use the last week to enjoy being engaged for the last week. If people call to add or subtract, learn to say no or sorry, too late. Dont stress yourself out with it. If there are empty spots, then there are empty spots. If someone needs to set up an extra table, they likely will. We had plenty of open spots but at the end of the day, the people who mattered were there and absolutely no one complained about the people who didnt show.
Here's some non-pro pics (should get the professionals back in a month or so)
