Alexis, on March 24, 2021 at 2:30 PM Posted in Planning 0 23
Just tested positive for covid exactly a month before the wedding that’s already been postponed twice.

I can’t get a break y’all 😥

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear this! I hope your symptoms stay minimal, and that you don't have it for long! FH and I got it last year and were out of work for 3 weeks, yet I know people that tested positive, then a week later their next 2 tests were negative!

Sending good vibes your way, and hoping you get to still have the wedding you've been waiting for. Smiley heart

Thanks so much. I need all the good energy right now. I’ve got so much to do. Being stuck at home right now is so not ideal.

Depending on symptoms(if your asymptomatic - I would push to get a second test done!)

    Hope you’re feeling better soon.

I hope you get well soon. I also really hope you inform your guests of this if you do not end up postponing again. Even if you test negative before, you should inform all of your guests and some won’t feel comfortable. I would not attend a wedding where anyone, let alone the bride, had covid in the past 30 days...

Oh, love, I'm so sorry! It sounds like your wedding is supposed to be the same day as mine (4.24.2021)? Sending all the prayers your way that your symptoms stay minimal with no lasting effects and that it goes away quickly so you're able to move forward as planned!

Get a second test ASAP!!! My fiancé tested positive and then we both tested the next day and we were both negative. So just double check before you have to cancel anything!!

Thanks everyone! Unfortunately not asymptomatic. But all it feels like it’s a cold so far. Lucky to not have more major symptoms. As soon as I start feeling better I’m getting tested again. Really going to focus on self care to try and get past it quicker.

After 14 days if your symptoms are gone you are good to go! Some people test positive for up to 3 months even though they actually arn’t contagious anymore. On the bright side this will allow you time to focus on any last minute diys and contacting vendors if needed!

I am so sorry. I hope you have a mild case and start to feel better soon.

Good news is you should be good as new by your wedding day. Also, I saw you mention getting tested again once you feel better. I would not do that. They say you can test positive for up to 3 months after having Covid without being contagious. Just something to think about...

Yeah someone else commented that also. So crazy to me. FH had it back in November and he tested negative 10 days after his original positive test. I guess it depends on the person, or maybe even the test.

Yea, I feel like with all of the different testing options, who knows?! I would follow the CDC guidelines of 10-14 days quarantine and if you are symptom free after that, I would roll on with life as normal. Feel better!

Good luck! I had COVID back in November and it took so long for my energy to recover. I highly recommend a regiment of daily multivitamins and pre/probiotics. According to a few studies gut health is a major indicator of symptom severity with COVID. After I started taking pre and probiotics I felt my energy improving ten times faster than it was when I was only taking zinc and multivitamins. Take care of yourself, REST and try not to stress too much.

DOH called and said my last day of isolation is April 1st, as I shouldn’t be contagious after that! So thrilled! I’ll still have about three weeks after that to get stuff done! Now I just need to get better. Thanks for all the advice everyone!
