Police Couple - decor ideas ?

Hi! So my fiancé and I are both police officers - We don’t want a police themed wedding or anything like that , or anything too cheesy. However, we did meet in the academy, and it’s a big part of our story , so I guess I’m looking for ideas on how to include something police-related in our wedding , without being too over the top? For example, I saw some stuff on Pinterest with bullets included in some of the centerpieces ? Or maybe something with our academy recruit numbers ?

Any ideas/suggestions would be appreciated !

We went to a wedding where the bride had patches from her department and his department sewn into the bottom of her dress, so if she lifted the hem, they were visible. That was cute. Maybe you can have the bakery hide some designs such as handcuffs or hats into the cake?

You could make your cake look like a bullet is going in the side. That may not be romantic but it could look really cool. You could also do pictures handcuffed to each other while holding hands. And maybe when you walk into the reception, have your DJ get red and blue strobe lights with police sirens. I think there’s a lot you could do with this without being totally in your face with the police thing.

Or instead of a traditional cake topper you could get one with your two academy numbers instead of the bride and groom?

My cousin and her husband are cops and met at the academy! When they got married she had his badge number embroidered inside her gown and he had a patch on the back of his tie with her badge number.

After they kissed when they were pronounced the officiant also took a pair of handcuffs and cuffed them together for their walk down the aisle. My cousin made a shadow box from her wedding day and the cuffs hang in the box now 🤣

Hi there! My FH is a police officer as well I also want to include some thin blue line details.
I ordered this cute police cake topper! Although we are actually having a donut display instead of cake (breakfast wedding). I'll figure out how to get it to stick on some donuts, haha. I also bought this cute pack of police badge confetti to go on the donut table! I'm considering doing something police themed for the table numbers as well. I saw this cute picture of police champagne glasses online, so I aim to DIY that myself. We are possibly having a photobooth, and if we do I'll try to make sure there are some police themed props. I'm also considering doing bullet lapel pins or shotgun boutineres for his guys (4 of 5 groomsmen are fellow LEO, as well)

Oh I love those ideas ! I actually saw a sign on Pinterest for a donut display that said “Stop resisting - take a donut” - that might be a cute idea for yours!
